Lumibuild was founded on the belief that the AV integration experience shouldn’t be purely transactional. After more than a decade leading technology initiatives at hyper-growth companies like Uber, Zynga, and Tesla, Carlos saw firsthand that there was a better way to engage and collaborate with customers. When Mike joined as co-founder, that vision took shape. Together, they set out not only to design and build exceptional spaces but also to make every client feel genuinely valued throughout the process.

From day one, Carlos anchored the company around a guiding principle that still drives Lumibuild today: “Strategic values will change, but core values never should.” Among those core values is a commitment to hospitality, toward both teammates and clients, fueled by his belief that world-class service should never be compromised, even if it means sacrificing short-term profits.

Michael Ponticello began his career in audiovisual technology from the ground up, starting as an installer and developing a deep understanding of how systems come together in the field, how sound behaves in real spaces, and how thoughtful design can transform everyday environments. Those early hands-on experiences built the foundation for a lifelong passion for technology, simplicity, and the art of bringing both together seamlessly.

Before starting Lumibuild, Michael spent time at several major technology companies, including Twitter and Uber, where he deepened his understanding of large-scale systems, innovation, and the people behind them. That blend of creative engineering and real-world perspective continues to shape his approach to leadership today.

As Chief Technology Officer at Lumibuild, Michael focuses on more than just the systems themselves. He is driven by how technology makes people feel, communicate, and collaborate. Equally important to Michael is the culture that surrounds the work. He is a strong advocate for creating teams that are supportive, inclusive, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of.
