Our Mission

Lumibuild was founded in 2016 by Carlos Martinez and Michael Ponticello, in Emeryville, CA. After many years of working for and leading UC Teams at companies such as Uber, Zynga, Twitter, and Tesla, they decided to partner in an effort to create the AV Integration company that they wish they had worked with throughout their careers.

The mission from the beginning consisted of two main areas of focus. The first was to create a company with a collaborative and trusting culture. The second, was to drive growth through relationship building with and become a trusted partner. The first was achieved by hiring creative minds that were willing to raise the bar when it came to the craftsmanship involved in design and integration of custom AV systems. The second was achieved by doing less talking and more listening. Often times during their tenure as service owners, Carlos and Michael felt like they were being sold to, versus listened to. This created a lot of friction during all steps of projects and ultimately provided less than optimal solutions that went over budgets and/or delayed delivery dates.

Aside from listening, they avoid cutting corners and always have their client's best interests in mind, even if it means slimmer margins, in exchange for a long term partnership. With the help of their amazingly dedicated and driven crew, they have been able to crisply execute on their mission and continue growing into a valued partner in all aspects of AV integration.
